Our motivation to join the program is at first the contact to other different schools, the exchange about teaching methods and usage of ICT. The second point ist that the project supports ICT - competences for students and teachers as well. Third we are curious about different point of views to consider the theme of the project "SAVE the Earth“. The key people in charge of running the project will be a team of English and Science teachers, which are involved in this project. With this project, we would like to raise deep awareness about our project theme on Global Warming among our students and the the people around us and besides, creating a sustainable, habitable and healthy world is our dream and aim.

Los Salados IESO is located in a small rural village of Benavente near the border with Portugal, and not far from Zamora. It is intended for compulsory secondary level education. We actively participate in reading animation programs and the promotion of healthy behaviors. We are currently developing a two-year project on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 using the Learning-Service methodology which is authentically increasing students motivation and creating a positive learning atmosphere. About a third of our students belong to the Romani culture and more than 30 percent have special educational needs. Some of the features of our students is absenteeism and early school leaving. That ́s why the aim of the project will really suit our characteristics and interests: our main concern is leading students to make decisions along their learning process and form them to be more self-sufficient in a near future. We also believe in the quality of learning for life so teachers behave as an example to follow. We are sure that this type of students will be especially motivated if they learn about practical contents with innovative methods. In fact we are already trying some of them with such a results that the teaching staff is deeply motivated to transform our school into a 21st century school.

Bekescsaba Center of Vocation and Training Zwack Jozsef Commerce and Catering School is located in Bekescsaba, Hungary. It gives secondary vocational education, the first two years (grade 9 and 10) are the so-called orientation phase, when the focus is laid on professional knowledge beside the general studies. Grade 11 and 12 are the foundation training phase, when the professional education is delivered. Vocation can be acquired after the final examination in two years and in three years also. English is taught as a second language. There are 950 students and some of them are with learning problem. We have 95 teachers and 5 management staff. According to our SWOT analysis, the amount of early school leaving is one of our weakness more than 10 % mainly in the first school year. Being located near the town centre with easy transportation, having equipped classes and labs with internet connection and smart boards are the opportunities of our school. Most of our students come from low working class families who live the near villages and smaller towns. According to our strategic plan, our mission is to increase our students' key competences because we aim to grow well developed and more ready students for the real life. So we make possibilities for our students to take part in entrepreneurship in abroad. The other mission of ours is to apply new and good techniques into our school by making our school more international thanks to the European granted. For this reason, we have been giving great importance on applying for local and international projects since we believe that making our school more international will help us to have more donated teachers and students. By the help of these projects, we know we can grow more self confident, decision maker and tolerant students.
